Despite a set back earlier this year at the FEC, progressive and liberal causes continue to lead the charge in embracing technological advances that enable more money to be raised so that more speech can be disseminated.

The latest effort, enabled by an FEC advisory opinion last year and detailed in yesterday’s Politico, involves cell phone users being able to donate 10 percent of their monthly charges to Democracy for America, a liberal PAC,

According to Politico, to make it all possible, Democracy for America partnered with "Credo Mobile, a division of the liberal firm Working Aseets."

The Politico reports that, "When subscribers sign up for DFA Wireless, their personal information is captured so it can be accurately reported to the FEC as a political contribution."

Credo Wireless has long been active politically even before their latest venture.  "Since 1985, the phone company has donated more than $50 million progressive nonprofits, ranging from the American Civil Liberties Union to Amnest International."
